Precautions for installation and removal of mechanical seals Mechanical seals are a general term for precision machinery. They are favored by everyone because of their small rotation direction, small spring structure, short radial specifications, and uniform seal face pressure. However, it is often confused at the level of installation and removal. The following describes the installation and removal of mechanical seals. Mechanical seals 1. The basic concept of mechanical seals Mechanical seals are a device that avoids liquid leakage. Precautions for the installation of mechanical seals (1) Pay great attention to prevent installation errors during the installation process. a. When tightening the rotating cover, it should be done after the coupling is aligned. The bolts should be supported evenly to avoid tilting of the end face of the rotating cover. Check each point with a feeler gauge, the deviation is not more than 0.05mm. b. Check the matching clearance (ie coaxiality) between the rotating cover and the shaft or bushing, and the surrounding area is uniform. Use a feeler gauge to check that the tolerance of each point is not more than 0.01mm. (2) The compression amount of the spring should be carried out according to the regulations, not too large or too small, and the deviation is required to be 2.00mm. The assembly increases the specific pressure of the end face, and the end face is damaged at the other speed. Too small will result in insufficient specific pressure and unable to seal. (3) After the moving ring is installed, the whiskers are guaranteed to be able to move flexibly on the shaft, and the moving ring should be able to spring back automatically after pressing the moving ring against the torsion spring. 4. Precautions for disassembling and assembling mechanical seals (1) Be careful when disassembling the mechanical seals. It is forbidden to use a hand hammer and a flat shovel to avoid damage to the sealing element. A pair of wire hooks can be made to pull the seal out, extending the direction of autonomous operation to the drive seat clearance. If the scale cannot be removed, it should be cleaned before removal. (2) If mechanical seals are used on both sides of the pump, take care of each other during installation and disassembly to avoid looking forward. (3) For the operated machine seal, if the rotating cover is loose to move the seal, the sound ring part must be replaced and cannot be tightened again for continued use. Because the original running trajectory of the friction pair will change after the sample moves, the tightness of the contact surface is easily damaged.
